We were up early, breakfasted and checked out before 9am - with the customary
wait for the hotel to check the rooms to make sure we hadn't stolen anything. We took a taxi to the airport, Lene
sitting with the 4th bag on her lap. The taxi meter couldn’t have been
working properly, as despite the fact that there wasn’t very much traffic the
fare ended up on 70RMB
– we gave him 100 RMB, which was still far cheaper than the two other trips we’d
taken from the airport. Perhaps because we weren't taken a massive detour around
Beijing. The driver was very happy.
Check-in and passport control went smoothly, and we had plenty of time to kill
before the flight, which left Beijing and arrived in Amsterdam on time. We had
three hours to kill in Amsterdam - which was tough - but again departed and
arrived on time. We landed in a very sunny Copenhagen at 8pm and were in bed by 9:30pm!
No jetlag this time around - the children were up and ready for school the next
morning!
